Sirio-LX

Sirio-LX is an automatic radar-based system for detecting obstacles on railway tracks at level crossings and helping to prevent railway collisions.
Designed to ensure the highest level of safety, it consists of several components:
- a Detection Unit made up of one or more high-resolution short-range radar sensors;
- a Control Unit based on a 2oo2 redundant architecture for managing radar sensors, interfacing with the railway signaling infrastructure, and the Remote Operator Station;
- an Operator Station and a Video Subsystem for monitoring and diagnosing the system remotely.

SIRIO-LX is marketed by the STARS Railway Systems Consortium.
STARS is a parity consortium formed by the companies Intecs Sp.A. and IDS Ingegneria dei Sistemi S.p.A. (Fincantieri Group), established to develop and produce radar-based safety systems for the railway sector.
