Intecs S.p.A.’s ISO certification system represents its constant commitment to excellence and innovation.
Intecs Engineering S.p.A. was established on the basis of Intecs’ consolidated experience, inheriting its know-how, expertise, and quality culture developed over more than fifty years of activity in safety-critical sectors.
Intecs S.p.A. was in fact one of the first software companies in Italy to obtain ISO 9001 certification (certification body: DNV, Det Norske Veritas) for the development of integrated hardware and software systems based on advanced, high-R&D technologies in the following sectors: Railway, Defence, Aerospace, Air and Naval Traffic Control, Automotive, and Telecommunications. Intecs S.p.A.’s Quality System was subsequently brought into compliance with the EN 9100 standard (the standard covering additional requirements for the Aerospace and Defence industry), a certification achieved as early as 2011, as well as with NATO AQAP-2110 and AQAP-160 standards (for Defence products used by NATO countries), achieved in 2017, through the implementation of distinct and specialized procedures to ensure compliance with the various sector-specific standards:
Intecs’ historical certification journey has represented a benchmark of excellence at both national and international level. Among the main milestones achieved:

Qualification by SCIROTÜV and TÜV Rheinland to carry out software assessments in accordance with the CENELEC EN 50128 standard, and certification of Functional Safety Engineers in compliance with EN 61508.

Adoption of the CMM®/CMMI® process improvement models, achieving Maturity Level 3 for the Defence, Air and Naval Traffic Control, and Railway divisions between 2005 and 2010.

Certifications ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems), ISO 27001:2022 (Information Security Management Systems), and PdR 125:2022 (Gender Equality Management Systems).
This legacy is the reference framework from which Intecs Engineering S.p.A. was established.
Intecs Engineering S.p.A., launched as a new organizational entity focused on Product Engineering and Innovation in the Railway sector, is committed to a progressive growth path in continuity with the principles and best practices historically developed by Intecs S.p.A., through its own independent certification process. Following the achievement of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety) certifications, the company also plans to obtain ISO 27001:2022 and EN 9100:2018 certification for Defence and Aerospace products.
For all Intecs Engineering S.p.A. certifications, the scope of certification is the development of integrated hardware and software products and systems based on advanced, high-R&D technologies, as well as the acquisition and management of contracts concerning the design, development, verification and validation, installation, maintenance, and post-sales support of HW/SW products and systems.
